Messager, Andre: Solo de Concours for Clarinet & Piano
This famous solo was composed for the graduation and solo competition for the Paris Conservatory in 1899. Its great use of the clarinet has made it a favorite ever since then. The work includes technical opening, a beautiful Andante, a great cadenza, and a technical finale.
This new edition is one of the Jeanne Master Class Series. It includes extensive performance suggestions and high register fingerings by John Anderson.
