Lagan Music ReedJar
The ReedJar is a convenient reed storage container that utilizes Boveda packets and a *completely* airtight design to maintain a perfect humidity-controlled environment for your reeds.
With a built-in hygrometer, you can keep a close eye on the humidity level inside the jar as seasons change to make sure your reeds stay happy. (Instead of crispy packets being the only indicator).
The Boveda packets are stored in the walls of the jar to envelop the reeds nested inside with the humidity level of your choosing. Because this jar is actually airtight (check suction test video!), you may find that a lower humidity level works better at keeping reeds stable without molding. Available in 58% and 72%.
The reeds sit on a classic slotted tray, allowing for air circulation underneath to help prevent warping. Each slot is labeled with a number on the inside so you can remember which ones are performance-ready.
Alto and Bari/Tenor sizes are designed to fit neatly inside the bell of your saxophone to free up storage space elsewhere.

Notes:
- Not dishwasher safe. Wash with luke warm water and mild detergent if needed. *Hygrometer not waterproof*
- The hygrometer is press fit. To remove, gently pry with a large flat-head screwdriver (or similar) in the 4 gaps near the edge
- The temperature can be changed between Fahrenheit and Celsius by removing the hygrometer and pressing the button on the back
- Battery type: LR44 Button
- The cage that secures the Boveda packets is quite thin to keep the overall footprint as small as possible. Because of this, it is quite fragile! When there is no Boveda packet supporting the cage wall, it can be susceptible to cracking. This only matters when replacing packets, so please be careful and exercise patience when changing out packets.
- Packets should be replaced when the humidity drops below the desired level according to the hygrometer reading, or when they get dried up and crispy
