Andrew Tosches

Andrew has been working as a repair technician since graduating from the prestigious Red Wing Technical College (Minnesota) Musical Instrument Repair program in 2010. Originally a native of Santa Rosa, CA, Andrew ‘s family relocated to Alma, Arkansas where Director Bill Radcliff started him playing trumpet in middle school band. Graduating from Alma High School in 2006, he then attended Arkansas Tech University where he studied trumpet with Dr. Gary Barrow until 2009. Andrew plays trumpet and cornet with the following groups around the Lansing area: The Lansing Concert Band, The Capitol City Brass Band, The Meridian Community Band, The Dewitt Community Band, The Mid-Michigan Symphony Orchestra, and The New Horizons Jazz Band (conducted by Craig Hayward.) Andrew is a multi-instrumentalist and his chosen specialty is woodwind repair. Due to the high quality and artistry of Andrew’s work, he is often referred to in the shop as “MichelAndrewlo”.

When Andrew moved to Michigan to join the Meridian Winds team, he brought with him his 2 dachshunds, Rascal and Honey, and when he found that he could not have them in his apartment, Cheryl adopted them and now they are completely spoiled! Andrew and his friend Jessica (who also plays Trumpet in the Meridian Community Band and is currently working towards her MM degree at Michigan State) keep busy outside of work with outdoor activities such as hiking and camping. Andrew is also an avid military historian.
